A FTSE 100 chemical manufacturer was able to consolidate distributed infrastructure from 22 remote locations to one site thereby streamlining the IT environment through a centralized IT Infrastructure. With more than 5000 desktop users across 54 sites worldwide, it improved operational efficiency while reducing the TCO, achieving savings of $3.5 million by consolidation, hardware life extension and image rationalization. The HCL solution was to implement a common operating environment, SMS and Citrix platforms for better standardization and control.
