The government of India is making innovative use of digital technologies. JAM—Jandhan, Aadhaar and Mobile—were some of the key digital moves. In a recent development, the government plans to implement a new technology for people at the Kumbh Mela, using which they can track down their family members who are lost in the crowd.

Technology is embedded in everything we do, said Ghose, citing instances of significant digital improvements and how HPE was a part of them. HPE, when asked to install wifi in Mumbai city, brought hotspot to the city, making it the largest public hotspot deployed city in India. Thousands and thousands of devices flooded to the hotspot technology, making the vision a huge success.

Adding on more instances, Ghose says the real currency is not money, but energy. In an attempt to save energy, HPE introduced a solution to tell a load of each building by using specific access points. This solution helps in monitoring electricity better and saving heavily. In Levi’s stadium, food services increased manifold by implementing digitalization. The delivery boys could track down people who were in need of the service and deliver the order successfully to them.

HPE has now rolled up its sleeves to develop secure IoT platform which can help connect different kinds of devices, and function as device-as-a-service platform.
