Digital transformation for the office of the future: Leo Joseph, HP Inc

There has been a huge reinvention of strategy ever since HP split into HP Enterprise and HP Inc in November 2015. HP Inc continues to make products which make life better--be it for an individual, community or an organization. At CIO100 2017, Leo Joseph, senior director-Enterprise Sales and Solution at HP Inc, spoke about the five pillars that HP Inc has evolved around. "Even though its five pillars, the basic underlying concept is digital transformation. The pillars are the office in future, digitalization, enterprise mobility, digital transformation in manufacturing (especially in printers) and everything-as-a-service," says Joseph.

Answering to what offices in future imply, Joseph said it's nothing but an attempt to accommodate all age groups, especially millennial into the workspace. The other big transformation is collaboration as it has moved from physical to virtual. 

Joseph also points out the importance of security aspect on end devices. “About 70 percent of breaches happen at the devices. Printers are also like PCs, having keyboards, hard disks and is connected to the internet. We have solutions to secure printers and ensure it can’t be hacked,” he says.

Towards the end of the conversation, Joseph said enterprise mobility is the next big thing in the space. It is expected to double in the next few years and so HP Inc will have its focus on it.
