Whether transformation drives innovation or vice-versa has always remained a question, but disrupting technologies are constant. Kamal Nath, CEO of Sify Technologies, at CIO100 2017 addresses all the CIOs about ways they can deal with the disrupting technologies.
Nath specifies the definition of digitalization in the simplest terms: "Digitalization is when consumers can get connected to services without any mediator. The sole objective of digitalization is to enhance customer experience." Nath says India has shown great interest in digitalization by initiating projects like Aadhaar, GST network and Paytm.
“The sole objective of digitalization is to enhance customer experience. CIOs should choose a partner who has had a successful transformational journey.”

Nath also points out the challenges CIOs face today. The start-up companies today get on their business having latest technology as their base model, whereas CIOs have to advance from the traditional models to a new one. This is one of the key challenges they might face.
Nath also cautions all the CIOs to choose their partners carefully. He advises CIOs to choose their partner based on their transformational journey. Choosing partners offering the same solution might stunt the growth of the company.
Sify has transformed to become a business service provider from a traditional internet service provider.
