Informatica started its India operations in 2003. The Informatica India Centre of Innovation has been instrumental in developing product releases and technological innovations like the Live Data Map, a scalable solution that sources, stores and organizes all of an enterprise’s metadata so that its users can search, discover and trust the data they are consuming.
Commenting on the announcement, Anil Chakravarthy, chief executive officer, Informatica, said, “India has been a successful R&D location for Informatica for more than a decade, with over half the engineering talent located in India. The engineers at our India Centre of Innovation have developed software solutions that positively contribute to our customers’ success around the globe, including the very recent Live Data Map. With this expansion, we are reaffirming our commitment towards India as a market.”
