Recreational use of the Internet at work has far reaching implications for employers. Wide Area Networks, already strained to the limit supporting business-critical applications, are increasingly vulnerable to the adverse effects of traffic generated by peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing, YouTube and social networking sites like Facebook®, MySpace and LinkedIn.
