Digital Innovation Strategy

Thomas Cook’s digital transformation started with innovation at its core. Thomas Cook’s e-com initiative has driven its digital business and serves as a major channel of sales and service for the organization. The whole IT team (from architect to developers) was freshly recruited to successfully launch the platform for Thomas Cook.

The company’s e-commerce platform performs API integrations with airline systems, GDS, hotels, suppliers, transfers, CRM, business applications of leisure, travel, visa and foreign exchange. It has a scalable platform to support all subsidiaries of the company like SOTC and TC Tours.

As a result of this initiative, Thomas Cook has a flexible platform with full ownership of IP and source code. Also, 20 percent of the holiday sales is contributed through this channel, which has given a lot of confidence to the organization to move towards the digital journey.
