For the pursuit of establishing an omni-channel business model, Shoppers Stop has created an integrated, feature-rich warehouse management system (WMS). The objective was to leverage the shared inventory of the existing regional warehouses for online fulfilment, thus needing real-time inventory visibility across all the channels.

A warehouse management solution was selected to integrate the supply chain with already-deployed merchandise and order management solutions for an overall cross-channel strategy. The project was executed in a phased manner to avoid any operational impact on the running business and has been successfully rolled out across all four regional warehouses within 18 months as planned at the project commencement.
