Digital Innovation Strategy

The company implemented an analytics and recommendations platform to ingest customer interactions data from various sources like social channels, mobile TV app, transactions channels and websites. The project was launched with the aim to ingest this high volume and high-velocity data to build customer profiles and deliver accurate personalized recommendations as well as notifications.

The project helped the company provide deep insights of customer behavior and preferences across several attributes and dimensions with a view of building a single view. For the project, the enterprise data lake architecture pattern was deployed to ingest, transform and process the huge volume raw data as well as events from various sources and land the processed profiles in the data warehouse.

The goal of this project is to ensure that the big data initiative enables extremely fast introduction and delivery of new sources with different structures and extremely low-cost vis-a-vis traditional patterns and solutions. Most of the technologies deployed are open-source, and effective reporting and visualization is also a part of the platform.
