Digital Innovation Strategy

SpiceJet implemented a digital onboarding process of new hires. The system allows HR representatives to be connected with a new recruit before he/she even joins the company. Since most of the joining formalities can be completed through the portal, it reduces the time the employee generally takes to fill all the forms on the first day of joining. The HR representatives can review the documents well in advance, which ultimately helps them to create the necessary infrastructure for the employee to be productive right from day one.

The project provided end-to-end automation from pre-joining of an employee to joining process, all with a quick turnaround. This also helps eliminate the submission of paper documents, thus reducing paper wastage. Employee information is stored in a centralized repository and consumed by respective downstream applications.
