Malayala Manorama adopted Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) at three of its locations in the country. The HCI deployment helped Malayala Manorama integrate storage, compute and networking in one integrated solution. This helped the organization by simplifying the management of IT infrastructure. Additionally, the project also helped in improving asset management and maintenance operations.

The media and publishing giant also incorporated desktop and server virtualization. It took the organization four to six months from ideation to go-live. As benefits derived from adopting hyper-converged infra, the company highlighted that provisioning of desktop got a lot easier and doesn’t consume much time. In addition to this, maintenance and remote assistance has been simplified and has become a lot easier to manage.

Malayala Manorama observed immense reduction in desktop maintenance costs and enabled its IT team to spend time in more important and developmental projects.
