M Sivasubramanian joins VA Tech Wabag as CIO

After serving more than 13 years at L&T Group, and the last five years at L&T IDPL, M Sivasubramanian has confirmed exclusively to CIO.in about his movement to VA Tech Wabag as its CIO. 


M Sivasubramanian has joined VA Tech Wabag as the CIO. At his new organization, he will execute the role of global CIO. Sivasubramanian has confirmed his movement exclusively to CIO.in. 

VA Tech Wabag is a water technology multinational offering a range of solutions directed at addressing water challenges across the world. Solutions are mainly focused on conservation, optimization, recycling and reuse of resources. The company has a presence in over 20 countries across four continents.

During his 17 years of industry experience, Sivasubramanian has worked in various sectors such as finance, manufacturing, infrastructure and construction. He specializes in digital, business process, process improvements, business analytics, IT strategy and management.

He holds a bachelors in chemical engineering and MBA in information systems. He has also pursued various certificate courses in digital strategy and cyber law.

Prior to joining VA Tech Wabag, Sivasubramanian was the DGM and head - IT and digital at L&T IDPL. He was responsible for the digital transformation, IT strategy, business-IT alignment, business process excellence, revenue assurance, IT budget control, program management, IT infrastructure management, IT operations and vendor/technology evaluation. Previously, he has headed IT for L&T Power Development and has also worked with Tata Chemicals.
