Rajesh Garg has joined Trident as CXO-IT. At Trident, Garg will be responsible for the IT of the entire group and will drive the company through industrial automation 4.0 under the dynamic leadership of its founder chairman Rajinder Gupta (RG), a first generation entrepreneur.
“I am responsible for digital transformation and automation of the entire IT of Trident group. Besides this, my role also involves Industry 4.0 automation at Trident. I am extremely excited about my new role in a fast growing organization like Trident, as we will have huge focus on new innovations, transformation and automation. I will have the opportunity to work on Industry 4.0, which should be a differentiating factor in the textile sector,” said Garg, CXO-IT at Trident.
Garg added that his focus will be on enablement of value driven business outcomes. “The CXO role is a much wider role with the CIO, CTO and CISO reporting to me in my new profile. Since my previous experience of last 26 years has been in IT companies, it will be an interesting challenge to work in a manufacturing company - where IT will drive business outcomes," mentioned Garg.
Trident is the flagship company of Trident Group, a USD 1 billion Indian business conglomerate. The group operates across five manufacturing segments - home textiles, yarn, paper, chemicals and captive power.
Garg earlier worked at Rolta India as CIO and VP- digital transformation solutions, head-infra managed services and pre sales. He has held senior leadership roles for over two decades. He previously worked at Nucleus Software Exports and Infogain India.
Garg has a consistent track record as a top performer throughout his career, with experience of managing large teams across geographies and cultures. He has been awarded and felicitated several times for enhancing the role of IT as a business enabler through technical innovation and excellence. His expertise include cloud enabled hosting, enterprise security and mobility solutions, enterprise applications, customs development and remote infrastructure managed services.
At Rolta, he drove a project called ‘Digital Innovation Journey Version 4.0 (Accelerate, Innovate & Transform) - Digital Intelligence Platform’ through the creation and usage of innovative IP solutions framework, providing top line revenue enabled solutions delivering infrastructure at Rolta.
