Explaining on how this newly created role will benefit the company in the short and long term Seth said, “In the short term we are looking to enhance our engagement with our customers, OEM’s and distributors along with building competitive differentiators, improving perception and also positioning ourselves in the market place. Strategy is merely a civilized form of war which is won with words, ideas, and disciplined thinking.  We want to create a direction and a path for the vision of the organization to be achieved that includes a focus on alliances, partnerships, organic and inorganic growth advisories.

Hitachi Systems Micro Clinic recently got unified into a national structure with Anuj Gupta and Rajan Bhandari heading the businesses. “I would be a guiding support system in their execution, enabling them with the information assets to make their job easier, extract more value for the customer and build strategic relationships in the ecosystem. This profile will include marketing as well,” said Ranganathan.

1

Create the competitive differentiators for  HiSys MC.

2

Transform the approach from cost based engagements to ROI based engagements.

3

Consolidate the IP of company into a compelling value proposition in the market.

According to him, the key tenets of the chief strategy officer’s role includes multiple facets like organisational structure, GTM and marketing. He further adds, “Strategy is merely a civilized form of war which is won with words, ideas, and disciplined thinking.  We want to create a direction and a path for the vision of the organization to be achieved.”

Alliances, partnerships, organic and inorganic growth advisories are very important for this profile, says Ranganathan.  “My team will set up an integrated goal mesh within the organization to ensure that the entire organization works towards one set of goals,” adds Ranganathan.

“CIOs expect our team to translate and bring in the expertise across various group organizations in their domains and deliver it to customers here in India. They want HiSYS-MC to help them extract more value for their investments and help them do more with less,” says Ranganathan.

“Ranganathan’s sincerity and unmatched integrity is very appreciable. He is a man who carries people along with him,” says Seth.
Talking about HiSYS-MC’s future goals, Seth throws some light on company’s roadmap for 2019 and 2020, “We are implementing the balance score card based approach to achieve our goals. Building a process based organization would enable our people to work better, understand market needs and be more customer focussed. And of course, we would want to focus more on executional excellence.”
